SERVPRO Installs Trusses on a Roof After an Attic Fire
Pictured is SERVPRO of Altoona employee Charles Rogers, very excited to begin putting trusses on the roof of this house that experienced an attic fire. Roof trusses are prefabricated frames used to form the skeleton of a building's roof. They are currently the most popular roofing method for residential housing. Roof trusses can be made of either wood or steel. We used wood for this house because most residential buildings are built on a wood frame, whereas steel trusses are most commonly used in commercial buildings. Although, if your home happens to be built on a steel frame, then steel trusses will be used instead of wood.
